Growing one pound of mushrooms requires less than 2 gallons of water, versus the 2,000 gallons necessary to grow one pound of beef. Not only are mushrooms an essential part of the ecosystem, but they also provide a sustainable source of protein.

Our mushroom jerky is made from non-GMO ingredients. The shiitake mushrooms we use provide lots of healthy fiber and important nutrients such as selenium, potassium, vitamin B2& B3, vitamin D, and more.

Our process involves slicing, marinating and drying our shiitakes before tossing them in just the right amount of spice blend at the end. This requires very few ingredients, and minimal processing, keeping the integrity of the mushroom and its nutrients intact.

Dried shiitake mushrooms are an excellent vehicle for flavor, which is primarily why we love them so much! They have a naturally chewy texture, which means an even more satisfying, nutritious snack.

It’s a time-tested recipe developed over many years in the test kitchen. Through our quest for a healthy savory snack that’s also environmentally friendly, we’ve come up with something we hope you’ll love as much as we do!

Our recipe combines the subtle umami of mushrooms with one of 3 flavorful seasonings designed to compliment the chewy, naturally satisfying texture of dried shiitake. The rich and chewy nature of our jerky makes it easy to forget you’re munching on a meat-less snack! It currently comes in Original 5-Spice, Cracked Black Pepper, and Hot + Spicy Chili Pepper.

Yes! Our jerky is 100% plant based (and animal cruelty-free).

Munchrooms have 140 calories per serving, with 2 servings per resealable packet. 

One package of munchrooms is 2.46 oz (70 g) and contains two servings.

Unopened munchrooms are good for up to one year from the manufacturing date. Once opened, reseal and store in a cool dry place. Opened and resealed munchrooms are good for 30 days.

Our jerky contains soy sauce, which contains gluten. Currently, we do not have a gluten-free product, but we are working on it!

Shipping Policy

All of our orders are processed within 24 hours and shipped via USPS or UPS. munchrooms offers free shipping for all orders over $50 through USPS Priority Mail or UPS. Orders received before 3PM PST during the weekday will be shipped the same day and should be received within 1-3 business days. Shipping costs for orders under $50 will be displayed at checkout.

Return Policy

If the product is not completely to your satisfaction, please contact us with your order number and details to arrange for a refund. Please note that the product must be returned in its unopened and original packaging for a refund within 7 days. Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer.
